Helpful info on how improve-measure your site performance!
Recently some clients contacted me for help on how to improve their site performance. I know from our own server user logs, that over 80% of businesses are using Microsoft Internet Explorer as their standard browser. The new Google Chrome browser is a useful tool that I recently found very helpful.
Until now the best choice for SEO (search engine optimisation) was the Firefox browser, which always had some great application/tools.
That is until now, because once you have installed the Google Chrome browser, just like the iPhone there are 1000s apps you can install an app like this example SEO Site Tools extension for checking your own site for *errors.
These apps are very simple to install and only take a few seconds to load and there are 1000s more great little apps like this all available F.O.C.
If you are forced to carry on using Internet Explorer to browse the web, you won’t have access to any of these sorts of apps, and my commiseration.
If you are an Explorer user who isn’t forced to use it by your IT job’s worth, take a look at Google Chrome. It’s free to download and use, and if for some reason you don’t get on with it, you can always revert back.

We use Alexa as an independent online service to measure our website traffic, which they also do for millions of other sites on the Internet in a similar way to the Nielsen television show ratings (and it is an Amazon company).
*NB. All sites will have some errors, and if you use this app on Google home page you will see what I mean!
